The book discusses the possibility of studying the geographical shell of the Earth from a geoecological point of view. A number of important natural laws of the geographic shell are analyzed: integrity, rhythm of development, horizontal zonality and high-rise explanancy, etc. The situation is justified, according to which the geographic shell is a lifestyle, which in different forms and manifestations accompanies it from the initial stages of occurrences. It is assumed that the geographical envelope was formed simultaneously with the development of the Earth, so its history is part of the overall history of the development of the Earth.
The geographical environment is represented as part of the geographic shell included in the sphere of human activity and the component of the prerequisite for the existence of human society. The biosphere in work is considered as a certain stage of the geographic shell, corresponding to the biogenic stage of this development.
The book is intended for teachers, graduate students and students involved in research in the field of geography, as well as for all who are interested in the development of geoecological problems of modernity
