The foundations of the general theory of relativity (OT), as well as the introduction into its modern development and state are presented. The mathematical apparatus is stated quite fully. The main consequences and applications (including observant and experimental status) are discussed, for example, to astrophysics, physics of black holes, cosmology, etc. Modern expansion of the GD, the causes and paths of further development are analyzed.
