This book presents the first comprehensive and systematic exposition of the General Systems Theory by Yu. A. Urmantsev, also known as the GST - widely recognized as the most modern and advanced systemic theory. While individual sections of the GST were previously published at different times and in different editions, creating serious difficulties for those who wanted to study it, now almost the entire theory is gathered in one place - here, in this book that you are holding in your hands. Furthermore, taking into account his experience in scientific and teaching activities, the author attempted to present complex philosophical-mathematical ideas, categories, and algorithms in a form accessible to the average reader with a background of general knowledge at the level of high school or a regular university. Whether this was successful is for the reader to judge, but the importance of this work cannot be overstated, as the GST is a worldview, and a systemic one in the literal sense of this currently fashionable concept.
