The textbook covers the general patterns of modeling chemical processes and reactors, the general principles of developing energy- and resource-saving processes of chemical technology based on a systematic approach. Examples of large-scale productions of modern chemical industry are described.
The first edition of the textbook was published in 1985, the English translation of the textbook came out in 1988, the second edition was released in 1990, and the third in 2003. The third edition of the textbook was awarded the Russian Federation Government Prize in the field of education in 2006.
In the current edition, some sections of the theory of chemical processes and reactors have been revised, and the current state of the domestic chemical industry has been considered.
The book is intended for students of chemical engineering and technical universities, the system of additional professional education. It may be useful for specialists involved in chemical technology, technosphere safety, development of equipment for chemical productions.
