The book by the famous Soviet and Russian science fiction writer Kir Bulychev includes two works about unusual journeys - the novella "The Sword of General Bandula" and the novel "The Mystery of Urulgan".
The hero of the novella, schoolboy Igor Isaev, is to unravel the mystery of the legendary sword, which disappeared without a trace more than a century ago. For this, together with his parents, he goes to the dangerous jungles of distant Burma.
In "The Mystery of Urulgan", an Englishwoman Veronica goes to the remote Siberia in search of her father's missing expedition. Along the way, she encounters many mysterious and unexpected events.
