Gender studies are taking up an increasingly important place in modern Russian literary studies. This manual offers possible options for studying the gender aspect of a literary work. Using the material of artistic texts from two periods, the authors analyze the gender representation of the world in women's literature of the 20th-21st centuries and the gender representation of the national myth in a symbolist novel of the 19th-20th centuries.
