The current publication includes the outstanding work of the famous Russian historian D.I. Ilovaysky "collectors of Russia", which, based on the analysis of all historical sources known by the middle of the 19th century, highlights the period of the elevation of Moscow, associated with the reign of Ivan Kalita and his sons, with the reign of Dmitry Donskoy, Vasily I and Vasily II, Ivan III of the Great. Thus, in this volume two centuries are considered - XIV and XV - the history of the Moscow state. The text is given by the second edition (Ilovaysky D.I. History of Russia: in 5 vols.
