The book presented to the reader is the result of scientific research conducted by Professor Jamil Hasanla for many years. It serves as a continuation of the Monograph “Khrushchevskaya "Thaw” and the national question in Azerbaijan, 1954–1959 ”and covers such issues as the formation of the political leadership of Azerbaijan of the 1960s, changes in the social, political and cultural life of the republic, deliverance of society from the heritage of the worship The personalities of Stalin, new trends in literature and art, processes that took place in creative unions, and much more. It is in this context that the events of the decade are reflected in the book, when Akhunds, Mamed Crowners and Enver Alikhanov were led at the head of the republic. In the preparation of the monograph, the author extended the funds of various state, party, government archives of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Russian Federation.
