Landscape and Ecological Research of Moscow to substantiate the territorial planning of the city

These studies were based on landscape and environmental work in order to determine the landscape-ecological potential of the territory of Moscow to account for the city and develop proposals for the balanced and effective development of the urban territory, to ensure the comfort of the population, environmental protection and cultural heritage objects, taking into account the interconnected development Moscow and the Moscow region. They included the conduct of landscape, landscape-historical and landscape-ecological studies, a detailed analysis of the natural and cultural-historical characteristics of the city, assessing the state of landscapes (natural and anthropogenic) and the identification of limiting conditions and factors of the development of the territory. For the first time, a series of original maps on a scale of 1: 50,000, which includes the “Landscape map of Moscow”, “The map of the environmental frame”, the maps of landscape-historical places and complexes, the combined analytical cards of “urban development” and “modern landscapes”, was compiled for the entire territory of Moscow. Proposals were developed for the rational use of the territory of Moscow and the placement of capital construction objects taking into account the protection of landscapes
