Irina Shostakovskaya was born in Moscow. She studied at the Literary Institute and worked as a proofreader. Her poems were published in the almanacs 'Avtornik', 'Babylon', 'Okrestnosti', the magazines 'Vozdukh', 'TextOnly', 'Literraura', and the anthology 'Nine Dimensions'. She is the author of the books 'Irina Shostakovskaya in the presentation of the publishing house 'Autochthon'' (1999), 'Flowers' (2004), 'Remarkable Things' (2011), '2013-2014: The Last Year Book' (2014). She is the laureate of the 'REC' magazine award (2005). She is a diploma holder of the 'Moscow Score' award (2005, 2012). She received the Andrei Bely Prize in the Poetry category (2014). She lives in Moscow.
