The era of Elizabeth I Tudor is one of the most tumultuous periods in the history of England, when there was a fierce struggle for power between noble families fighting for control over the English throne. In addition to representatives of the Tudor dynasty, other royal blood figures, as well as the English nobility, participated in it.
All these events are reflected in the book by J. Perkins, who focused on the three most dramatic episodes of this struggle: the marriage of Henry VIII to Anne Boleyn, for which Henry entered into a perilous conflict with the all-powerful Roman Church, the conspiracy of Elizabeth, the younger daughter of Henry and future queen, against her older sister Mary, nicknamed Bloody, the confrontation between Elizabeth and Mary Stuart, who had all the rights to the throne.
Taking real historical facts as a basis, the author presented them in his own way, resulting in a real game of thrones in the English manner.
