The Gallipolian Cross of the Russian Army "is a gratefulness of the gratitude of the Russian army and our compatriots who have to leave their homeland during the civil war. A whole year spent the army of General Wrangel in Turkey, on the shore of Dardanell, thereby putting the beginning of Russian emigration. Not all were able to transfer and deprivation in exile, almost 350 people remained forever in the land shelter. In memory of them in 1921, the Gallipolians were erected by a stone kurgan, an autonated cross. The earthquake of 1949 destroyed the monument.
The first part of the book is devoted to the history of the reconstruction of the monument and its discovery, which took place on May 17, 2008. The second part of the book is "Russians in Gallipoli" - is the reissue of the memoirs of the gallipolites themselves published in Berlin at the beginning of the 20s of the 20th century
