The album-monograph unites all published in the press from 1922 to 1937, the graphic works of the pioneers of the Soviet design of Gustav Gustavovich Klotsis (1895-1938) and Valentina Nikitichna Kulagina (1902-1987) The book includes more than 250 illustrations and is the most complete consolidated edition in Russian .
The introductory article tells about the creative path of outstanding masters of the Soviet visual art of the 1920s and 1930s, which have enormous influence on the formation of the domestic school of photomontage and demonstrated an example of its widespread use in all areas of graphic design.
The books are placed in the theoretical articles of Gustav Klotsis, published in 1931-1932, as well as historical studies of Sergey Lackov on the fate of the Gustav club and Valentina Kulaginina. Parallel text in Russian and English.
