Marina Vladimirovna Druzhinina (born in 1953 in Moscow) is a well-known children's writer. She began her literary career with publications of parodies, aphorisms, and feuilletons in periodicals. From 2005 to 2015, she worked as an editor at "Vesyolye Kartinki" (Funny Pictures). In 2017, Druzhinina's story "Sandwiches for Chicks" became the basis for the Unified Children's International Dictation, in which children from 28 countries studying Russian language participated. Druzhinina is a laureate of several literary awards, including the S.V. Mikhalkov Prize (2007), the Y. Kovalyov Prize (2018), and others. She has published over 200 books. Her works for children of various genres continue to enjoy unwavering success with readers.
