This educational publication stands out for its special innovative level, as there are no similar works. Typological analysis is considered as a methodological procedure of empirical sociology and is interpreted as a metatheory - a structural element of the methodology of analyzing sociological data. A system of linguistic constructs of metatheory is introduced. The logic of conducting typological analysis in situations of highly structured and weakly structured data is analyzed. At the end of each section, tasks for independent completion and discussion in seminars are provided. The book is recommended as a textbook for students, graduate students of humanitarian and socio-economic specialties, as well as for teachers of disciplines such as 'Methodology and Methods of Sociological Research' and 'Analysis of Sociological Data'.
