The textbook enters the new system of textbooks for the four-year-old elementary school Primary Innovative School. It gives students general ideas about the historical and cultural traditions of the Russian Orthodox Church: the basics of Orthodox Christian religion, moral values, shrines, rites, Orthodox artistic culture. The content of the textbook complies with the Federal State Educational Standard (second generation) and the standard of primary general education on the basics of religious cultures and secular ethics in accordance with the federal component of the State Educational Standard for Primary School.
