This publication is a fundamental consistent description of the physical foundations of research and development in the field of component base and equipment of radipotonic systems. In particular, the following topics are professionally highlighted in 10 chapters of the book: a comparison with digital fiber-optic lines, the main component base, key technical indicators, sources of noise and distortion, the effect of the fiber-optic signal transmission path, modulation and demodulation methods, use in telecommunication fiber optic - optical systems and Local Radio Systems of the microwave range. A separate chapter is devoted to still poorly studied issues of developing powerful high-tube photodetectors. In addition to the main chapters, the book includes six applications that facilitate the understanding of the used mathematical apparatus. An important methodological feature of the book is a coordinated statement of methods, principles and approaches studied in the past century and introduced in the last 2-3 years. The book is intended mainly for students of higher education and graduate students studying in the Photonics, but may also be useful for the teaching staff, for developers of equipment in the framework of this only developing in Russia directions of science and technology, as well as for scientific and technical specialists in adjacent areas
