The textbook consists of three sections. The first section provides information on the morphology, physiology, genetics, and ecology of microorganisms, describes the importance of microorganisms in nature, human and animal life, as well as the transformation of nitrogen and carbon compounds by microorganisms, forms of microbial interactions, antibiotics, and the influence of environmental factors on microorganisms. The second section is dedicated to the basics of the study of infection and immunity, the concepts of pathogenicity and virulence. The third section - laboratory classes - is devoted to microbiological, cultural, biochemical research methods, rules for selection, delivery, and storage of biomaterial, and serological methods for diagnosing infectious animal diseases. Intended for students of secondary vocational education studying in the field of 'Veterinary Science'.
