The foundations of the HTML textual marking language and the principles of caden -in -line accommodation of commands of the CSS style language. The methodology for developing a typical layout of an electronic textbook, structural construction of chapters and sections, creating, placing and editing links and CSS files is given. The issues of inclusion in the textbook of graphic materials, interactive applications and multimedia tools are discussed in detail. The drawings and description of the interface and panels of the EBook Maestro program are given. It is intended as a teaching aid for teachers of higher educational institutions that develop educational publications, and can also be useful for graduate students and masters during educational and pedagogical practice.
