The textbook was created in accordance with the Federal State Standard in the direction of preparation "Pedagogical Education" Profile "Geography" (qualification "bachelor"s").
The textbook sets out the basics of ecology, geoecology and environmental protection from the standpoint of modern ideas about the relationship of natural and socio-economic factors, the global problems of society at the beginning of the 21st century, and environmental aspects of the functioning of production were considered. Reference materials are given about environmental monitoring of dangerous natural and technological processes and risk factors, the environmental situation in Russia and its influence on the health of the population, specially protected natural territories and international cooperation in the field of environmental protection. The principles of environmental education and education are formulated from the standpoint of the concept of sustainable development.
