This book is the first part of the volume of Tom "from the history of Russian literature. Together with the second part, it is a monograph M.N.Muraviev: Introduction to the creative heritage ", dedicated to the diverse activities of this writer, who manifested himself in fiction, in different areas of knowledge, in fruitful social and state activities. The book contains the study of the drama and prose Muravyov, and a number of works of the writer remaining in the manuscript are published. A special emphasis is on the innovation of Muravyov in the development of prose in Russian literature of the late XVIII century
