The action of the first novel - "from Earth to the Moon" - transfers us to the 19th century. After the end of the Civil War in the United States, one of the main characters, the chairman of the “cannon club”, Impi Barbiken, an unprecedented idea came up with the idea: he proposes using modern scientific achievements, to put the destructive power of weapons for the benefit of humanity. According to his impudent plan, three desperate researchers, being in a small capsule -conjure, should, by a shot from a specially constructed gun, overcome the force of attraction of the Earth and reach the natural satellite of the earth - the moon.
In the second part of the book - the continuation of the novel "From Earth to the Moon" - Roman "Around the Moon". It tells about the adventures of three brave travelers who went to the previously unexplored depths of the cosmos in order to reach the moon. But soon the daredevils received very unpleasant news: for an incomprehensible reason, the trajectory of the projectile has changed, and it is not possible to reach the surface of the moon. Brave discoverers are in danger of becoming eternal inhabitants of the lunar orbit
