This book is one of the first attempts to go beyond Western experience in theory. Analyzing the institutional problems of Russia's economic development during the transition from a fuel and raw materials scenario to a strategy of innovative development, the author argues that this transition is associated with the need to change the institutional foundations of the mechanism of economic activity. In particular, the transition from a mechanism defined by the reproduction of production products and 'methodological individualism' of behavior of Russian producers to a mechanism of intersectoral interfirm cooperation based on the reproduction of production resources. It is shown that innovative development will be most successful when the process of reproduction goes beyond the limitation of product sales, as this will allow all producers to unite within the framework of a single economic space - the 'national economic space' of Russia.
The book is intended for specialists working on the problems of Russian economic development, for teachers, students of economic universities and faculties, as well as for readers interested in theoretical issues of economic development.
