From slavery to slavery... Paradox? No, reality. Can slavery and capitalism coexist in modern society? V. Yu. Katasonov reflects on world history and the structure of society throughout its millennia of existence. To gain a real understanding of the vector of human development, the author suggests moving away from conventional ideas based on the Marxist materialistic doctrine of socio-economic formation. He proposes to turn this very formation 'upside down'. The new model can be called 'socio-spiritual formation'. It also consists of a base and superstructure, with the spiritual state of society serving as the base, and the superstructure encompassing all social relations: economic, political, legal, cultural, state, etc. This book is an attempt by the author to make sense of some issues of modern capitalism from the perspective of Orthodox worldview. Perhaps such an approach is the path to saving society?
