And for all Slavic, the Russian language remains a cormist (N.K. Rerich) Such quotes of writers, philosophers, publicists, praising their native language as a unique, richest source of folk wisdom, reliable storage of information about the national character, in scientific discourse are permissible only as an object of study. However, in the works on linguocultureology - a new discipline born in about the mid-1990s in Russia, and a little earlier in China, they refer to them as authoritative opinions of colleagues. The phrase is national character appears in linguocultural work in the form of a term, its synonyms - national mentality, national mentality, ethnic mentality, ethnic mentality, national culture, ethnoculture. Announces the national language of the ethnoculture mirror, Linguculturology seeks to detect signs confirming auto and heterosterotypes in it. Take the number of similar surveys, and the end of their stream is not visible. Hardly time to arise, linguocultureology has become an apology of clichés, myths and ideological constructs: as an object of study, a poor list of lexemes is elected and somewhat fitted under the same ethnosterotypes of syntactic structures, while it is argued that this is an analysis of the national language. Humanity is familiar with Lingvopatriotism since the XVII century. This book contains articles and fragments of monographs of scientists from different countries, shed light on the historical attack of this phenomenon. Some authors are not familiar with his current manifestation in the form of Russian linguocultureology, they write about other countries and other epochs. The more clearly the historical roots of mythologization of the language are becoming more clear as it is neither a nomit. The link language with culture is undoubted, but these relationship is much more complicated than a mirror reflection. Linguocultureology in its current form only darkes them. After having escaping the latter of young lingopologies to the fact that the language and national mentality are a non-estate unity, she studied them to use the scientific methodology, relived from the need to prove what requires evidence, stuck the ability to see in the analyzed material not what they want to find there, but What is there really is. The heyday of the quasi-dasy under the name Linguocultureology is due to the historical moment, and the situation may change for the better only with the historical changes. The authors of this collection are aware that they are hardly able to solve the problem of demiatologization and deideology of humanitarian thought. But if at least some of the readers think about the origins, nature and evidence technology of lingvopatriotism, if it ceases to take speculation about the language as a mirror of a national nature for a clean coin, for the achievements of modern linguistics - this will mean that its efforts did not disappear
