The Connexion textbook is aimed at developing oral and written language skills for advanced level language learners. Since language is more interesting and effective to study in the context in which it is evolving here and now, the educational material is based on articles, audio and video stories dedicated to current topics (sociology, bioethics, ecology, etc.). Each material is accompanied by a glossary, historical and/or cultural commentaries. The audio and video content is transcribed at the end of the book. Topics are introduced by highlighting issues that are examined from both a retrospective and prospective analysis perspective. Relevant quotes related to the topic are provided, and etymological analysis of key concepts is conducted. Thus, the student not only deals with real language but also gains a comprehensive understanding of what France is currently experiencing. The textbook is designed for students of language and non-language universities at an advanced language level (from B2) within speech practice, cultural studies classes, as well as for a wide range of learners who wish to deepen their language knowledge and understanding of France.
