This textbook has been developed in accordance with all the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for General Education, approved by Order of the Ministry of Education No. 287 dated May 31, 2021. It is the main component of the textbook series for the 8th grade called 'Blue Bird', created in a creative collaboration between the authorial and publishing teams of Russia and France. The textbook is recommended for studying French as a second foreign language.
Given the specifics of this stage of education, the textbook pays great attention to working with a written source of information - text. A well-thought-out system of educational and developmental exercises allows students to master various reading strategies: scanning, reading for gist, and reading for detailed comprehension.
The textbook is supplemented with two new sections: a Thematic Kaleidoscope and a Mini-Encyclopedia of the 'Blue Bird', containing socio-cultural material to expand students' lexical range.
The state borders are given as of October 2022.
