The book is the first of the Russian language and the most complete study of the unique monument of the mature Middle Ages - the album of the sketches of the Gothic architect of the 13th century Villar de Onekur. The book fully reproduces the road book of the medieval architect and a historical, cultural and art history analysis of all thematic groups of drawings is given, as well as for the first time, paleographic and semantic analysis of records in the album made by Villar and the subsequent owners of the album is carried out.
