The book talks about the geology and paleontology of the Kaliningrad region from the dokembry to the present day. An important place is given to the stratigraphy of the region and the description of the paleogeographic atmospheres of different geological eras. Erratic boulders and fossils present in them, inclusions in the Baltic amber, a complex of fossils from the Cenozoic deposits of the region, and paleolithic artifacts are considered in detail. Information about geology and paleontology is accompanied by extensive excursions in the two -hundred -year history of the study of the region.
