Non-cash funds have undeniable advantages compared to cash due to the convenience, speed, and simplicity of transactions, the absence of the need to ensure the security and safety of such funds, the elimination of the risk of counterfeiting and deterioration. With the help of functional mobile applications that act as full-fledged remote bank offices, a client can use banking services and facilities from anywhere with internet access, giving the bank instructions to manage their non-cash funds.
However, the use of non-cash funds is also associated with certain problems, the main one being the violation of the confidentiality of keys and passwords that provide access to accounts and electronic wallets where they are stored.
Nevertheless, despite its drawbacks, non-cash payment methods are gradually replacing cash payments because they are more convenient, transparent, and controllable for the state, which monitors transactions and deals to implement fiscal and other control functions.
In this book, based on legislative acts and established judicial practice, we have decided to analyze the existing forms of non-cash payments (payment and collection orders, letters of credit, and checks), specific procedures used in the non-cash payment system: the expression and revocation of the payer's pre-acceptance, linking a payment card to an account, holding funds on a payment card, studying specific types of non-cash funds (electronic funds and digital ruble), as well as the procedure for using cryptocurrency as a monetary surrogate.
