The textbook covers the issues of comprehensive mechanization of work in forestry. It provides methods for calculating the traction parameters of forest machines and equipment in interaction with the working bodies of machines with the soil during reforestation and with the forest stand during logging and skidding operations in maintenance cuts. The book discusses the issues of maneuverability and stability of power units when moving in rough terrain in forest conditions. It determines the possibilities of using the compact wheel tractor T-25AL of the LTA named after S.M. Kirov in various technological operations in forestry. The main operational properties of machines and equipment for forestry are considered. Examples of calculating the parameters of machines and equipment for various technological operations are provided.
