The guide is dedicated to traumatic brain injuries and includes clinical and forensic neuropathology. It covers general aspects and basic mechanisms of injury, main manifestations of the central nervous system in cases most commonly encountered in forensic medicine, injuries to the nervous system in adults and children, the timing of injury formation considering histological research methods, and the potential application of molecular biology. A separate chapter reflects the clinical manifestations of trauma that will assist the expert in interpreting clinical forms. The publication is intended for physicians - forensic medical experts, pathologists, neuropathologists, neurosurgeons, as well as doctors of other specialties interested in and dealing with problems of nervous system disorders.
