Foreign women

The first in the Polish literature study dedicated to the female prose of the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries. In the center of the book - two figures: Narciza Zhamikhovskaya and Eliza Obyshko, a significantly better known to the Russian reader.
If the first attracts the originality of thoughts and behavior, the second appears the woman who had a huge authority and with honor wearing the name of the Polish writer during the non-free period. It is also about two strategies of the expression of the female start: "revolutionary", based on the disclosure of the cultural "iniquity of the" women, and the Emancipational, who put forward the thesis of the equality of men and women
