In front of modern Spain, there is a serious complex of domestic political and foreign policy problems in line with a common strategy for the development of a country from a protracted economic crisis, creating favorable external conditions for long-term socio-economic development and strengthening Spain"s position in the international arena. At the same time, the implementation of the tasks set is impossible without holding depth reforms. Under these conditions, the Government of Spain is attempting to adapt foreign policy and organize a diplomatic service in accordance with the requirements of time and on the basis of an expanded international agenda, while maintaining the traditional directions of foreign policy.
