The brochure provides an overview and generalization of foreign experience in state assistance in solving housing problems of citizens. The main targeted priorities of the State Housing Policy, the reasons for the need for state intervention in the housing sphere, the basic principles of the organization of housing subsidies and types of subsidies are considered. The material is prepared on the basis of research conducted in this area by foreign specialists.
In this paper, the experience of some countries - both economically developed (USA, France, Scandinavian countries) and developing (Chile, Mexico, Eastern Europe) - in the field of implementing programs that ensure an increase in accessibility of housing and mortgage loans for families With a low level of income. Based on the generalization of foreign experience, conclusions are drawn on the possible directions of development of a system of state assistance to citizens in improving housing conditions.
