The book talks about Russian-General Field Marshalch, which glorified themselves in the battlefields or left their mark in the history of outstanding state affairs.
The military rank of General Feldmarshal came to Russia from Europe during the time of the great reformer Peter I. Creating a regular army, the Russian emperor did not invent new titles, he took already existing abroad. The first Russian-general Feldmarshal was Alexey Fedorovich Golovin, who received this title as a talented diplomat and a statesman. The latter was the King of Romania Carl I, who did not have anything to do with the Russian army, the emperor Nicholas II helped him so high chin from political considerations. The book included stories about those who wore the title of Feldmarshal General on the right who spent their lives in campaigns and battles who glorified Russian weapons in the eyelids: the great military leaders Menshikov, Sheremetev, Suvorov, Rumyantsev, Kutuzov, Barclay de Tolls and other. These people became part of our history covering two centuries, the history of complex, difficult, often bloody in almost continuous wars. Studying their biographies, we study the history of Russia, her victory and defeat, its pride and glory. Analyzing the past, we better understand the present and make forecasts for the future. The book will be interesting for children of 9-13 years old - students of secondary school age, will help prepare for the lessons of history, will contribute to patriotic upbringing
