Nikolai Albertovich Kun (1877-1940) was a writer, historian, and educator, known for his popular book "Legends and Myths of Ancient Greece." Equally interesting is his collection "Folk Tales of the Peoples of Africa." In this book, Nikolai Kun gathered stories from the Hottentots, Zulus, Kaffir peoples, Bechuana, Ovaherero, Somalis, Sudanese Negroes, and some other African ethnic groups. In addition to the tales, the writer provides detailed descriptions of each tribe, explaining the peculiarities of their habitats, history, and way of life. The publication is complemented by black and white illustrations and photographs.
