At the Center for Atomic Research in the Sildavian Sbroe, the launch of a lunar rocket took place, on board of which are Tintin with Milou, Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus, and Engineer Wolff. With anxiety in the control center, they wait for the first space explorers to wake up after the initial overload, but all attempts to establish contact with them lead to nothing: there is no response signal. Somewhere far away, unknown entities are listening to Earth's signals: for them, the lunar mission represents not only scientific interest... Thus begins the second part of the lunar thriller, which keeps the reader in suspense until the last pages. An endless series of incredible events raises doubts about the possibility of the heroes' safe return to Earth. "The Adventures of Tintin" is a well-known worldwide series of comics by the Belgian artist Georges Remi, who worked under the pseudonym Hergé. Risking his life, the brave reporter Tintin investigates mysterious incidents, but emerges victorious from all troubles. And no matter what happens, his faithful companion is always by his side - the white fox terrier Milou. The idea of a space adventure arose in Hergé in the mid-1940s and turned out to be so grandiose that Hergé decided to once again turn to the form of a duology, which had worked well in the two previous stories - "The Secret of the Unicorn" and "Red Rackham's Treasure". The first part of Tintin's lunar journey, "Destination Moon," was published in 1950 in the Tintin magazine, and in 1953 it was released as a standalone album. In 1954, the concluding part of the duology, "Explorers on the Moon," was published, which can be described as prophetic.
