As a result of studying the collection of French masters' weapons, a significant part of the works of the art of weaponry received new or refined attribution, which allowed to identify the composition of the collection. The group of firearms from the 1670s to the 1730s introduced into scientific circulation fully demonstrates the technical innovations of construction and features of decorative design characteristic of the French arms industry of that period, and significantly supplements the information about the largest arms center in Europe of that period - Paris.
