A collection dedicated to the art of the First World War, compiled by employees of the sector of the history and theory of fine art and architecture from 2014-2021, marking the centenary of the events under study. From different perspectives, corresponding to personal scientific interests, the authors attempt to shed light on the diversity of phenomena brought about not only by the war itself (1914-1918), but also by the decisive turn of painting towards modernism, and, conversely, the persistence of architecture in the 1910s in following classical or national-romantic motifs.
