The textbook corresponds to the Federal State Educational Standard in the direction of preparation 51.03.03 "Socio-cultural activity". The content of the textbook corresponds to the program of the discipline "Scenario-directorial foundations"-one of the leading specialists of the socio-cultural sphere, organizers of spectacular forms of leisure of the population in the professional training. The textbook includes theoretical and methodological materials on general issues of spectacular culture, problems of scenario and directorial skills, and organizing various types of theatrical events for different ages of the population, including children and adolescents. Such concepts as dramatic literacy, the basics of scenario, directing, methods of working with actors and participants in mass scenes are considered, the specific features of the organization of cultural and leisure programs are revealed, taking into account the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of the audience.
