The authors analyze the freedom of cinema in six dimensions: freedom from what, to what, in what context, why, in what social control and related social responsibility, with what effect. The focus of attention is the dialectic of freedom of cinema, social control in the field of cinema-communications, the use of censorship as one of its varieties, reforming cinematography during the period of “perestroika” and turning towards capitalism, social functioning of sub- and postscpeys. On the example of the representation of entertaining violence and its audience consumption, the impact of post -interest is considered.
