Yankees from the state of Connecticut, during a fight, gets a crowbar on the head. Waking up, he discovers himself in a lovely and unfamiliar area, the impression spoils only the spear of a strange person in armor and helmet directed at him. Thus begins Yankee"s journey in the sixth century and acquaintance with the legendary king Arthur.
The era of the knights of the round table is transmitted by numerous black and white illustrations of the famous American artist, friend of Mark Twain Daniel Bird. One of the founders of the Boyskautov movement, editor and journalist, he was well versed in child psychology. Realizing that in communication with youth, humor and attention to details are important, Bird transfers this to its drawings.
The publication is released in the classic translation of Nikolai Korneevich Chukovsky.
