Having set off on a business trip, our contemporary journalist Mikhail Krynnikov enters a car disaster. Having come to his senses, he discovers that he was transferred to the past. December 1914, there is the First World War, later called "Great". Having set off to the front as a volunteer, Mikhail gradually gets used to it and gets used to the reality of the beginning of the twentieth century, participates in hostilities, becomes a fighter of reconnaissance.
