The boy Alyosha has poor heredity-his grandmother slowly goes crazy, but few people guess about it. Unsuspecting parents send Alyosha to the village for the whole summer. And the grandmother, as a punishment for imaginary pampering, locks the boy in a dark terrible basement. Alyosha is sitting in darkness and damp for long hours, completely one, frightened and flickering ... Until he begins to hear “voices”. They whisper to him stories, from which blood is crushed in veins. They talk about life and death, love and hatred, betrayal and cruel revenge. Terrible, but exciting stories affect something in the soul that makes Alyosha again and again go down into the musty darkness to hear mysterious voices
