Clifford Donald Saymak is one of the “godfather” of the famous John Campbell, editor of the magazine “Astounding Science Fiction”, where many stars of the Golden Age of Science Fiction lit up. At the beginning of the literary career, Saimak wrote “hard” science fiction and adventure works, as well as westerns, but then pushed the boundaries of the NF genre and created his own style, which critics called the soft, humanistic and even pastoral, comparing Saymak prose with the prose of Ray Bradbury. A novel in the novels “City” brought him world fame (two short stories from it entered this collection) For fifty -five years, Saymak wrote about thirty novels and more than one hundred and twenty stories and stories. He was awarded the prizes of Hugo, Nebuula, Locus and others. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster of the Prize "Nebulus".
This book is the second volume of the complete works of the master in the small genre. Some works included in the collection were transferred for the first time, and some are published in a new translation
