The virus, turning people into something more than they were before, quickly overwhelms the world, experiencing the strength of the institutions of modern society.
It all starts with the fact that the body of a young woman, an alleged illegal immigrant, disappears from the morgue of a small town in Arizona. The inspector of the PKZ - an organization for control of diseases - is forced to solve this riddle, not yet suspecting that she became a witness to giant changes, which will affect both her life and the lives of all people of the world.
New creatures who have passed strange metamorphoses, reject the term “ Vampire ”, preferring to be called“ Twilight people ”. In the struggle for their status of full members of society, they are torn to power, conquering places in all influential institutions - in courts, in the government, in the bomonth and even the church!
