In the village of Komton Basset, which is not far from Oxford, cute hospitable people live. They arrange leisurely tea drinks, conduct conversations about the weather and the garden roses, and their frisky dogs chase in the fields behind rabbits - a real English idyll. But at night, perceptible, mocking and gluttonous trolls come to the village at night! And beware, if you do not firmly locked the doors: uninvited guests will arrange a mess in your impeccable kitchen, destroy jam stocks and launch everyone behind the spiders and earwovers.
And this is only the beginning of a long story, in which it will be a mysterious sorcerer and evil witches, seeds of a wonderful tree and a magic crystal, a conventional parrot and old magical books!
