Vladimir Mikhanovsky (1931-2019)-prose writer and poet, one of the classics of Soviet science fiction prose of the sixties. Starting with poetic collections, he became famous after one of the central newspapers published his story "Sobo", which later entered the completely mature collection of the Secret of one Laboratory (Kharkov, 1964) In total, Mikhanovsky created more than a one of scientific and fantastic works, in the 90s he also turned to the detective genre. The writer created alternately in Russian and Ukrainian, therefore, for the real publication, some of the stories were translated specifically.
In the second volume of his collected works, the novel “steps in infinity”, as well as the stories and the story dating back to 1967-1969, were included, many of them are reprinted for the first time
