Padavan Kevmo Zink and his master Jedi Zalla Macri arrive on the planet Dolna. They are investigating the case of artifacts of force stolen at different points in the galaxy. Dolna is a planet located in the outer ring. It is inhabited by a few, however, a very developed population, skillfully using the limited resources of the planet for the good. Outside of Ferdan - the spaceport and one of the agricultural centers, - a strange cult, calling itself a path of an open arm. He is headed by his mother, claiming that power will send her his visions. Kevmo meets Marda Ro - one of the participants in the cult - and suddenly gets closer to her, despite the opposite views of strength.
